09 Aug Simpsons Cookery School reopens with Chefs Table and development kitchen
Simpsons cookery school has now reopened with some exciting new features.
The popular cookery school was closed in January to undergo a major refurbishment and reopened as Eureka Kitchen with a development kitchen, chef’s table and tasting area in July.
Simpsons Eureka Kitchen is a state of the art kitchen with many high end features, such as controlled induction, which will allow for much more hands-on experience in a professional kitchen set up. It has been supported by Zwilling J.A. Henckels and the cooks will be using knives and accessories from Zwilling, cast iron cookware from Staub, and stainless steel cookware from Demeyere
Once they have prepared their dishes, the cooks will take a short break to sip champagne (or non alcoholic alternative) whilst the Simpsons team sets up a private dining space where everyone can sit down and enjoy a three course lunch which they put together. The cooks will also be given the opportunity to plate up, learning essential techniques for Michelin worthy presentation.
Priced at £150 the course, which takes place every Saturday, includes coffee on arrival, a three course lunch which they prepare, refreshments throughout the day, a glass of champagne and wines selected by the sommelier.
When the cookery school is closed, the Eureka Kitchen Chef’s Table provides an intimate setting for a lunch or dinner experience. The Chef’s Table seats up to 10 diners who can watch the chef prepare their meal in front of them.
The Eureka Development Kitchen is a place for Simpsons chefs to unleash their creativity away from the busy restaurant. They will have all the equipment they need to create new dishes, experiment with new or unusual ingredients and test out new flavours for sauces, butters and ice-cream.
The food and wine/ beer tasting area has been introduced following the success of various beer and wine themed dinners held at Simpsons and its sister restaurant, The Cross in Kenilworth. Details of upcoming events will be released on social media and in Simpsons monthly newsletter.
Corporate training and team building
Eureka Kitchen can also be hired for corporate events. It will serve as a home to HIT Training’s Chef Academy. Launched in 2015, the academy has grown to incorporate 16 centres across the country, providing chef apprentices with the highest quality training, development and learning in the industry.
Paul Mannering, Principal of HIT Chef Academy, said:
“Our Chef Academy is something we’re very proud of here at HIT Training. We work tirelessly to continually grow our offer, source new sites and develop new course topics to meet the demand from the industry.
Simpsons shares our commitment and passion for training and the new set-up at Eureka Kitchen is the perfect fit for our full-day course structure. We can’t wait to start hosting sessions there!”
The cookery school can be hired for private events and would make an ideal venue for team building, away days and client entertainment. Please call 0121 454 3434 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
